Valencia Basket breaks its historical record for blocks on a legendary afternoon by Brandon Davies
The win achieved
yesterday against Baxi Manresa in La Fonteta has left two statistical records
of special relevance. The 10 blocks that the taronja team put up are the new
best mark for Valencia Basket in the Endesa League (and it is also the general
historical record for the men's team). One of the main architects of that
achievement was center Brandon Davies, who placed five of the blocks in an
individual performance that no player had done since 1992. There is only one
other player who has had a game of 15+ points, 10+ rebounds, 5+ assists and 5+
blocks in the history of the Endesa League. It was Arvydas Sabonis from the
Valladolid Forum, who did it three times.
